Management

SPV's Senior Management comprises 3 seasoned executives with long industrial experience and outstanding academic backgrounds. In the following we introduce our Board of Directors:

Dr. Wolfram Kalt - President Director

Dr. Wolfram Kalt had been working in the capacity of Technical Director for PT. South Pacific Viscose since January 2009. Prior to this assignment he was Managing Director of Lenzing Fiber GmbH in Austria. Since 1992 he has been working in various positions with Lenzing Group, mainly in the field of TENCEL where he successfully contributed to basic design and installation of first commercial TENCEL operation within Europe. Focusing on this environmental friendly fiber technology he became one of the key promoters of sustainability within the group. In 2000, as a result of his efforts, Lenzing group became the first Austrian winner of the European environmental award for sustainable technologies. He graduated as an engineer from Technical University of Vienna in 1988 and achieved a Doctorate of Technical Chemistry in 1991 at the same university.

Dr. Gerhard Danninger - Sales & Marketing Director

Dr. Gerhard Danninger is a expert veteran in the field of marketing and sales and he held several senior positions in this domain before assuming the role of Sales and Marketing Director at SPV in May 2003. Earlier in his career, he worked for international companies including Lenzing AG and the Roman Bauernfeind Group. After graduation in Economics from Vienna's reputable acclaimed University of Economics he went on to study at the Johannes-Kepler-Universität in Linz, from which he was awarded a Doctorate in 1981. He also studied at the E.N.A. in Paris and holds a diploma from the Diplomatic Academy, Vienna.

Ian Colley - Finance Director

Mr. Ian Colley, SPV's current Financial Director has a firm background in Chemistry as well as in Management and Accounting. He has been working in the Viscose Fiber business for most of his career. Before joining SPV he worked for Acordis Kelheim GmbH as Chief Accountant. Prior to that he worked in the Financial Management Service Department for Courtaulds PLC. Working for those companies has allowed him to gain an in-depth knowledge of the world-wide fiber business. His academic background comprises a BSc Honours in Applied Chemistry from the Sheffield Hallam University, a degree in Accounting from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and is currently in the final project stage to complete his MBA from the Manchester Business School.

SPV will increase its fiber production capacity by 80,000 tons per year

SPV will increase its fiber production capacity by 80,000 tons per year with the construction of line 5, which will operate by end of 2012. This addition capacity will increase SPV’s total production to 325,000 tons per year.

Further investment by the Lenzing Group to expand fiber production capacity at its Indonesian subsidiary PT. South Pacific Viscose

Due to the strong demand from the Indonesian textile industry for high-quality viscose fibers, the Lenzing Group, a world market leader in man-made cellulose fibers with its registered office in Austria, announced the immediate further expansion of its production capacity at PT. South Pacific Viscose (SPV), the company's main Asian production facility, located at Purwakarta, West Java.
