Viscose Staple Fiber
The high absorbency, excellent softness and cleanliness compared with other natural and synthetic fibers made viscose one of the most desireable fiber for nonwoven applications. Presently viscose fiber is the most widely used fiber for hygiene, medical, household and industrial applications. Over the last ten years viscose fiber based wipes has manged to replace majority of textile and paper based wiping applications and also used in a range of new applications like cosmetic face mask.
By providing the best fiber parameters combined with lowest level of contaminations, SPV viscose fiber has earned the reputation as the best quality viscose fiber produced in Asia. This has refelected in its premier customer base in Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Europe, USA and Australia.
SPV’s quality & cleanliness-centred production approach ensures the fibers are best suited for demanding applications like hygiene and medical. This in turn assisted SPV's customer base in meeting very stringent finished product specifications and regulatory requirements of Pharmacopoeia, FDA and OEKO-tex accredations. Due to it's insistence of sourcing pulp produced from woods harvested from managed forests and only from certified pulp producers, SPV has succesfully introduced FSC (The Forest Stewardship Council) certified fiber for nonwoven applications.
SPV will increase its fiber production capacity by 80,000 tons per year with the construction of line 5, which will operate by end of 2012. This addition capacity will increase SPV’s total production to 325,000 tons per year.

Due to the strong demand from the Indonesian textile industry for high-quality viscose fibers, the Lenzing Group, a world market leader in man-made cellulose fibers with its registered office in Austria, announced the immediate further expansion of its production capacity at PT. South Pacific Viscose (SPV), the company's main Asian production facility, located at Purwakarta, West Java.
