To provide additional support services SPV has built a modern textile laboratory termed as Fiber Processing Unit - FPU.

This facility allows for development activities, which will ultimately translate into further improved fiber quality on the one hand and, on the other hand, bring benefits for SPV’s customers, such as improved operational efficiency of spinning mills. This FPU was built in cooperation with Rieter AG, a leading supplier for fiber processing machinery.

The FPU plant comprises the following equipment supplied by Rieter AG:

	One Mixing Bale Opener B34S
	A high production carding machine C 60
	A Breaker Draw Frame SB – D 15
	An Auto-levelling Draw frame RSB – D 35
	A Rotor Spinning Machine R 40 with 40 positions and an automatic piecer
	As well as a Ring Spinning Machine G33 with 144 spindles

In addition to this, SPV’s FPU is also equipped with all necessary measuring instruments required for testing of the raw materials, the intermediate products as well as yarns and yarn down-stream products. All these instruments have been sourced from the leading manufacturers of such equipment.
