SPV is working together with the surrounding villages to maintain a partnership of mutual benefit. In order to remain competitive in its markets, SPV needs a stable working environment and infrastructure around the factory site. In addition, an educated and motivated workforce, which can be provided by areas near the factory, is becoming a crucial factor for the future success of the organization.

SPV recognizes that in order to achieve this, we must support efforts in the surrounding areas to improve the quality of life and the educational levels of the local people. SPV is doing this through its own initiatives as well as supporting local non-profit organizations which believe in our philosophy of: "Helping people to help people help themselves".

We go beyond employing many people from the surrounding villages. We maintain close and friendly relations with our neighbours and contribute directly to their social and economic development.

One of our important initiatives is to provide and enhance education of local children through a foundation named YAKALIMADAS. SPV has played a leading role in establishing this foundation and provides it with ongoing support.

We also actively. participate in other social and religious activities.
